It’s been 5 months since my last trek to kumaraparvata . I have covered most of best trekking places around Bangaloren but Madhugiri was the missing one. I had never done Madhugiri which is hardly 90 km from Bangalore . So I decided to go Solo Trip to Madhugiri (Karnataka) .
Madhugiri is a town in Tumkur district in the Indian state of Karnataka. The town derives its name from a hillock, Madhu-giri (honey-hill) which is to the north of the place. At 3,930 ft (1,200 m) elevation, Madhugiri is a single hill. It is the second largest monolith in Asia.
Started from Sahakarnagar at 7:30 am moved towards Tumkur Road reached kyatsandra ,Kyatsandra pavitra is Known for Thatte Idly,i had one plate of Idly/Vada then started moving towards Madhugiri .On the way i visited Lakshmi Temple (Goravanahalli) (Darshan-30 min) reached Madhugiri around 11:30 am.
Started Trekking around 12:30 pm reached the hill top within a span of 3 hrs.Spend around 30 min on the Hill top its an awesome experience .
Returned to Bangalore around 9 pm.
