One of the Best National Park -Mount Rainier National Park

The beauty of Mount Rainier National Park—besides its actual stunning beauty—is that it’s exceptionally accessible.

The park’s southwestern entrance lies less than two hours by car from Seattle Redmond .Tourists, too, find their way to Mount Rainier in droves.

I did as well. In fact, I flew across the country from India(Bangalore) just to visit to Washington state

If your timing is right, which involves keeping a close eye on the weather forecast, a weekend trip to  Mount Rainier is bound to be a success for everyone. Mount Rainier is without question one of the best Seattle day trips.

How to Get There

From Seattle (95 miles) or Tacoma (70 miles) to the Nisqually Entrance (open year-round), take I-5 to Wash. 7, then follow Wash. 706. From Yakima, take Wash. 12 west to Wash. 123 or Wash. 410, and enter from the park’s east side (Stevens Canyon or White River Entrances closed in winter). For the northwest entrances (Carbon River and Mowich Lake), take Wash. 410 to Wash. 169 to Wash. 165, then follow the signs. Carbon River Road washed out in a November 2006 flood (check with the park for closure information). Airports: Seattle, Washington, and Portland, Oregon.
